THIS WEEK’S BLOG IS A “TWO-FER”
Anxious to get there too! It’s my first visit.
So, this blog covers our look ahead to Chapters Ten and Eleven of the SONGBOOK.
Two Sneak Peeks in one!
For half a century, Emil Richards has remained among the busiest percussionists in the business.
Mingus, Como, Garland, Shearing, Ray Charles, Basie and more. From Nat Cole to George Harrison to Jerry Goldsmith, Emil has played with them all.
From jazz clubs, to movie sound stages, to record dates and even the classroom, Mr. Richards continues to make his presence matter. In the studio and on the road, Emil was Sinatra’s vibraphonist of choice.
Not long ago, I had the pleasure of moderating a panel discussion of Frank’s Reprise years, part of a four-day celebration of Sinatra, staged in Los Angeles.
Emil Richards will do the same for us when we open Chapter Ten of THE SINATRA SONGBOOK Saturday, November 23 at 6pm and Sunday, November 24 at 8am Eastern time on Metromedia Radio (metromediaradio.net)..
Emil returns for Chapter Eleven of THE SINATRA SONGBOOK, Saturday, November 30 at 6pm Eastern and Sunday, December 1 at 8am Eastern time, again on Metromedia Radio (metromediaradio.net).

IT’S THE HOLIDAY SEASON
It truly is the most wonderful time of the year. I know, that’s two holiday lyrics bundled together. I’ll quit while I’m ahead.
And please, this season, touch the life of someone less fortunate.
to be continued…
THE SINATRA SONGBOOK premiered in 1974. Yours truly, this radio series and THE SINATRA SONGBOOK Facebook Page are not affiliated with the Facebook group that carries this name.
