WELCOME BACK

Julie Budd_3Julie Budd

Ever feel as if you’ve known someone forever, even though you just met?  Such was the case with this lovely lady.  From our first connection, it felt as if we were life-long friends.  Getting to know Julie off-stage has been a rare privilege.  My hope is that with Chapter Thirty-One of the SONGBOOK, you got a little closer.  Your correspondence suggests that is the case.  And we’re just getting started!

Our visit continues with Chapter Thirty-Two, Saturday October 19 at 6pm and Sunday, October 20 at 8am (both Eastern time) on Metromedia Radio, metromediaradio.net

BUILDING YOUR COLLECTION

Swingin' LoversSONGS FOR SWINGIN’ LOVERS (1956)  The granddaddy of them all!  Not the first pairing of Sinatra and legendary arranger-conductor, Nelson Riddle, but the album that would redefine the attitude by which popular music would be interpreted.  The classic example here is the signature version of I’ve Got You Under My Skin. Fifteen swingin’ inventions by this unstoppable partnership.

I have long believed that on the Swingin’ Lovers date, these two musical voices, Sinatra and Riddle, became one.
