SINATRA

Robin Douglas-Home (Grosset & Dunlap – U.S. Publisher)

Sinatra_Doglas-HomeIn 1962, while at the peak of his fame and influence, Sinatra granted British journalist Robin Douglas-Home unprecedented access.  The author spent two month’s at Frank’s side.  You are in the studio, on stage and out of the spotlight with the public and private Sinatra.  Totally “up-close and personal.”  You will experience this legend as it was being molded.

To your right, the tattered cover of my worn, treasured copy.  SINATRA is out of print, but find it!  ABSOLUTELY worth the hunt!  (Hint.  It’s available through Amazon).

ONE LAST CHANCE

We are excited and proud to present Nelson Riddle: in His Own Words.

NELSON Head ShotThis three-hour documentary features first person perspectives from Rosemary Clooney, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Linda Ronstadt and, of course, Nelson.

For added perspective, the documentary is book-ended with producer, Stephen Paley’s recollections of the project and its participants.

First broadcast in 1985, Nelson Riddle: in His Own Words has been out of circulation for nearly thirty years!  The final broadcast – June 21 at 8:00pm, Eastern.  Thereafter, this extraordinary special really does disappear, back into the vault.

Do not miss our birthday month tribute to the American Popular Songbook’s greatest arranger.
